The children from 1st and 2nd class were delighted to welcome visitors from Hometree, who spent the morning teaching our pupils about the importance of native trees in protecting and preserving our local ecosystem. The children learned how native species support biodiversity, provide vital habitats for wildlife, and help maintain a healthy environment for future generations.
After an engaging workshop, the pupils had the exciting opportunity to put their learning into action. With guidance from the Hometree team, they planted a selection of young trees in our sensory garden. The children took great pride in their work, planting Hazelnut, Crab Apple and Wild Cherry trees.
We are very grateful to Hometree for a fun, hands-on learning experience. Our newly planted trees will stand as a lasting reminder of the importance of caring for the world around us.
