Visit from Mc Graths
Thank you to the team at Mc Graths who organised a road safety talk for the children. The highlight of the visit was getting the opportunity to climb into the truck cab, see the drivers view and develop an awareness of the drivers blind spots. It was a fun and memorable way to learn the importance of staying safe around large vehicles.

5th & 6th Class School Tour 2026
Our 5th and 6th Class pupils had a fantastic day on their school tour to Wildlands. The children took part in the exciting Celtic Challenge Rooms, where they worked together to solve puzzles, complete challenges, and put their teamwork skills to the test. They also enjoyed the thrilling Zip N Trek course, showing great courage, determination, and confidence as they tackled the various obstacles and zip lines. 3rd & 4th Class School Tour 2026
3rd & 4th class recently travelled to Wildlands Adventure Park in Moycullen for their school tour. They thoroughly enjoyed their day despite the rain. First up they completed the bushcraft activity in the woods learning how to start a fire, toast marshmallows and build a shelter in the wild. Teamwork skills were tested as pupils worked together to gather suitable materials before constructing and insulating their shelter. Next up was a round of disc golf before taking on the

Visit from The Corrib Mask Search and Rescue Team
Members of the Corrib Mask Search and Rescue team recently visited our school to talk about water safety on our local lakes and also to show us their ambulance jeep, rescue boat and equipment including a demonstration of how to manually inflate a life jacket. They recently went to Sligo to take part in the Connacht Final where they played against the current All Ireland winners Leitrim. Peace Proms
Our 3rd & 4th class pupils recently performed with the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland at the Peace Proms 2026 concert at the University of Limerick. The Peace Proms Initiative believe that music is a universal language- a powerful force of connection, healing, transformation and hope. Confirmation Retreat in Ballintubber Abbey
Our 5th and 6th class pupils thoroughly enjoyed their recent Confirmation retreat day. They got to learn about the history of the Church while also learning about local folklore connected to the area.
