Peace Proms

Our 3rd & 4th class pupils recently performed with the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland at the Peace Proms 2026 concert at the University of Limerick. 

The Peace Proms Initiative believe that music is a universal language- a powerful force of connection, healing, transformation and hope. 

Preparation for the Peace Proms concert involved months of classroom based practice in Cong N.S. by our third and fourth class pupils and a class trip to U.L. last November for a Peace Proms workshop with the amazing Peace Proms concert conductor Greg Beardsell. 

Our 3rd & 4th class pupils sang and danced their hearts out at the concert on March 7th. It was an amazing experience for the children to perform alongside hundreds of children from other schools and the live youth orchestra on the day.
